This essential lesson will introduce THIS IS ME, the scope of the program, and create buy-in from students. 

LEARNING ACTIVITY

  • Review/ Create Classroom Norms

  • Instruct students to write a journal entry about their day yesterday (10 minutes)

  • Review informational slides about THIS IS ME- Complete worksheet

  • Show one of the student short films https://www.thisisme.org/films

  • Provide instruction for students to complete Verbal Journaling Session 1: SELF-REFLECTION
